It is that time again! Order your 2018 Greetings from Detroit Calendar! I have compiled my recent Detroit drawings into another calendar for your viewing pleasure all year long! This calendar features 12 drawings from the past year that I have created of different Detroit landmarks, places, and objects that strike my fancy!

This year, I am doing something a little different with the calendars. I have decided to raise some money for a local charity that does great things.  The calendars will be $15 SHIPPED, and $5 from the sale of each calendar will go to an organization called Kids Kicking Cancer.  This Southfield, Michigan based organization works with children with disease and their families to battle the emotional and physical pains associated with that disease through meditation and martial arts. Their motto, "Power, Peace, Purpose," really speaks to the work that they do.  You can check out more of what this amazing organization does on their website,

Children with cancer deserve to heal, not just physically, but emotionally and spiritually as well.  As the old saying goes, "CHILDREN ARE THE FUTURE!"  Please consider purchasing a calendar today, not just for the artwork, but for all the kids suffering with cancer or any other type of disease.  Let these children grow, pain free from the physical and emotional burdens that disease puts on them.  Purchasing this calendar will allow Kids Kicking Cancer to continue their outstanding work.  Every little bit helps!

There are 2 purchasing options for this calendar. The first option is for the calendar if you would like it shipped to you.  The second option is for if you would like to pick up the calendar from me, or we could meet at a mutual location near to me.  Please read the description near each button to purchase the correct option.

This calendar would make a great Christmas gift for absolutely everyone! Or you could buy one, or two, or 8 for everyone in your family, especially those who now live out of state! PLEASE TELL EVERYONE YOU KNOW! LET'S GIVE KIDS KICKING CANCER A GREAT HOLIDAY SEASON!

If you need to have your calendar shipped to you, please choose this option below:

If you would like to pay by check or with cash, please email me at, and I can reserve the number of calendars that you are looking to purchase!

Mr. Tiger, Al Kaline

NEW ART ALERT!!! Please check out my artwork page and give it a LIKE! It would help me tremendously!

Here is my latest painting! The one and only, Mr. Tiger, Al Kaline. Mr. Kaline is one of the all time greats, a Hall of Famer, Batting Champion, 10 time Gold Glover, and of course, 1968 World Series Champion!

Al Kaline roamed right field of Tiger Stadium and other visiting ballparks for the Detroit Tigers for more than 20 years! Mr. Kaline is the epitome of Tigers Baseball. He played the game with class, grace, and integrity. This is why I decided to finally paint him. I wanted to have a lasting piece that defined who he was to so many people in Detroit!

Please COMMENT below with your thoughts on the painting, and your favorite memory of Al Kaline!

Prints will be available for sale. Please comment below or message me if you are interested in a print. I will be getting this painting professionally photographed or scanned. I hope to have the prints available soon. I will definitely be providing many options including hand embellished canvases.

Please let me know your thoughts! I am very proud of this piece, and I am very excited to read what you think! Thank you! Please SHARE this post with all your fellow Tigers fans! Thank you again!

2015 World Series Champions

This was a Christmas commission created for one of my client's sons.  There is a story behind this.  The boy noticed, while going to Royals games throughout the season, that many of the players would point to the sky when they hit a home run or got a big hit in the game.  He felt that it was a truly special thing that he found inspiration in.  He told his mom about it, and she got an idea.  After the Kansas City Royals won the World Series, she contacted me through Facebook after seeing some of my artwork that I posted in several of the groups.  She told me about this idea, and I immediately ran with it!

This artwork contains the boy's favorite players:  Ben Zobrist, Lorenzo Cain, Alcides Escobar, Eric Hosmer, Mike Moustakas, Salvador Perez, and Alex Gordon.  Most of the images are of the players giving glory to "The Man Upstairs" or someone who they lost, and look to for guidance, or to pay tribute to.  These players inspired the boy, and the boy inspired his mother to think about it, and the mother inspired me to create it!  The 2015 Kansas City Royals were a very special team.  They were a band of brothers that "kept the line moving" until they made it all the way to the top as World Series Champions!

The original artwork has been sold.  Prints of the artwork are available.  The prints are 18 x 24 inches, and are printed on 100 lb. gloss poster stock.  I will be signing the prints in the lower right hand corner.  The prints are $40 each plus shipping and handling.

$40.00 each.  Plus Shipping and Handling.
